The One Lamb Initiative at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church (www.1lamb.org) is able to bring in some heavy hitters from time to time to come and speak to our congregation and the community at large about mental wellness. 
This year we will host Kate Bowler, a New York Times best-selling author, Duke University Divinity School Theologian and Professor, and award-winning podcaster. Kate candidly shares how her diagnosis with stage 4 cancer shaped her understanding of God, suffering, mortality and challenging the idea (the title of one of her books), “Everything Happens for a Reason and Other Lies I’ve Loved”.  She writes about the joys and pains of life and does so in an endearing, engaging and uplifting way.
